Mrs. Gwendlyn Cook has a history of superior management and community outreach through her leadership in other non-profit organizations. She has served 20 years in community outreach and leadership and eight years in supervisory management.Mrs. Gwendlyn Cook graduated with a B.A. in Counseling (Psychology), a B.A. in Theology and is currently earning her Masters Degree in Education Leadership. She also received the Milestone Ministerium’s Prestigious 2014 Social Justice Award in honor of the great Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Mrs. Gwendlyn Cook has a passion for helping the less fortunate. She started many years ago when she realized that there is a great need for helping people in her community to get help to get back on their feet. Her drive, dedication, and commitment have led her to create Designed to Soar, Inc. Mrs. Gwendlyn Cook’s goal is to develop strategic alliances with organization leaders and clients to bring change to the people that she serves effectively.

“I wanted to start my own business so that I can join in with my partners to give back to humankind. I truly believe our main purpose on earth is to serve those that are lost without direction, meaning those that are homeless regardless of how they get to that place. I have also realized that not everyone wants to be homeless, and not everyone ended up in that situation because they didn’t pay their bills. I believe the families and individuals ended up in this situation because they lost a job, loved one, incurred sickness, and emergency occurrence.”
